New Leadership

July is the month where the future changes substantially. Yet, much remains precisely the same. Cue the Zebra’s stripes.

Freedom

Mastering our freedom is the summation of leadership. From our own progressive becoming, we create and magnetise. As individuals, systems, and collectives.

We stand in a rich human history moment to interrogate and directly challenge structures, coding, and unconscious defaults. Ones that may prevent, on the daily, from contributing to a quantum leap forward in our timelessness as leaders. Timelessness integrated internally to be reflected and actioned outward.

Reckoning with Leadership is a favorite Theeo topic and area to apply work.

  • What leadership is and contains.
  • How organisational life, builds, and natural systems designing and understanding provide an extraordinary classroom for this evolutionary opportunity.
  • How the pregnant, fertile, and robust zone of potentials right now are an invitation to expand continually beyond the smaller box we may operate in.
  • Stepping beyond fear, in all its forms and disguises, to meet and re-meet our own freedom. To remove the invisible shackles.
  • What a next era of leadership can look like with less suggestibility, a conscious reduction in the art of persuasion. More fortification from within.

Western Political Theatre

The confrontation of leadership ideology and strategy being witnessed in the West is at fever pitch. Amidst all the grasping, rhetoric and performing, evidence of elevating the game emerges nonetheless. Remember, keep an eye on the zebra's stripes!

We’ll be rolling out our Theeo Principles as a product shortly, so let’s preview three against the New Leadership topic.

  • Act
  • Design a new superstructure
  • Play a role other than “the offended”

Theeo Principle #377

Act

Change begets change. Continually step beyond what is.

[France, a mere three weeks ago.] Future governing chaos aside. A reckoning with the status quo moved party leadership (cue, the other Marine) to see around the impending corner, step beyond themselves, and form an alternative coalition. Within the tight time constraint of one month, they flipped the strategic game, wholly disrupted expectations, and changed the playing field.

They acted rather than simply react.

Theeo Principle #49

Design a new superstructure

Stop pushing against what you do not want. Design yourself into a bigger container from which to evolve the moment. Get up higher.

[England, a mere three weeks ago.] Impending governing chaos aside. Sunak’s call for an election could not have expected the resulting redistribution of seats in Parliament. The UK collective designed into a bigger container from which to evolve the moment. The quants will cut, splice, and analyse all day long.

All the while we lean in to notice the signal, story, and alternative superstructure Starmer designed into.

Theeo Principle #327

Play a role other than “the offended”

A core power you hold is to choose at any given moment the response you will give to anything that comes at you. When you respond unconsciously e.g. take offense, you design your own suffering. Play a different role.

[United States, a three-week lifetime] Rolling whiplash aside. The kids in the global room are having so many growth moments. For pithiness, I’ll pose a reflective question.

  • "What might a future look like when individuals and the collective internalise the actual meaning of sovereignty, stop sitting back on their often righteous, commonly rhetorical heels to recognise they are at the end of a 250-year road of relying on the mythology of patriarchal, misogynist wisdom — and litigation — as reliable, assured instruments for freedom and agency?"

Playing “the offended” gets you beat. Choosing a different role is strategic.

Within these examples on change and changing.

  • Notice who were the actual change agents
  • Analyse the catalysts
  • How predictable were/are the outcomes?

The Theeo Principles offered can be swapped for each story. Notice how they apply.

More Thoughts

Elevating the Game. The game, in its normative design, draws power away. To elevate the game, you transform the Field to proliferate power from within. The Field invites all individuals to operate from their most tapped-in, energetic, and consciously aware selves to steer the collective experimentally and iteratively towards highest potential. Meaning, you have to apply systems change to change systems.

Leading in the Field of Change. Most awake leaders staring down the future understand the necessity to learn to work deftly with the field of change. Let’s do the hard work of choosing the future.

Most days, leadership basics are where we need to return. “Try not to consider human affection, kindness, and compassion as a religious matter,” says HH the Dalai Lama.

Through The Looking Glass

2024-2027 will continue to bring in disruption (not a net negative, yet reason to fortify within), instability (as chaos accompanies the force fields of change), and fresh ground to seed and build anew (because creating is our shared purpose).

Systems built with intention, upon a grafting of trustworthiness, cohesion, and strategic focus need eyes-wide open leadership — of a new ilk, awakened wisdom, strength, and discerning heart.

Circle work more than vertical work, my friends.

You’ve got this. x
