Theeo Thoughts № 022 | Moon Missions
Geopolitical theatre on one side. A moon mission on the other. Somewhere in between — a barista, a consultant question that won't die, and the systems argument nobody is asking. No. 022 names what this moment is made of.

Amidst the continuous surging expressions of dominance, control, performativity, masking, and make-believe on the one hand, we are also gifted with a counter illustration of partnership, power, connectivity, realness, and owned expertise.
Geopolitical leadership continues as a theatre of the absurd.
Space travel, this time, sliced through the density as a ray of possibility.
Jeremy Hansen, one of the four astronauts, named it with precision. "We are a mirror reflecting you. And if you like what you see, then just look a little deeper. This is you."
Reeling from exhaustion, adrenaline, and the overwhelm of being fanatically admired – he turned it right back on the collective. Success, partnership, grit, innovation, and love – for one another on the mission, their families, the whole system that enabled them. Touching the dark side of the moon to view the majesty of our Earth. Hard won and breathtakingly evident. All yours too.
The argument for innovation, advancement, and evolutionary change is not against rigor, discipline, and tangibility. It is against performativity, pretending, and masking.
It is against fear.
All the while, it is about love. For all that is worthy – our own soul-directing purposes, how we share those with others, and what effect we can then make for the betterment of the whole. Even when it hurts. Even when it's scary. Even when it demands every courageous bone in our body. Even when we have to dissolve ego to welcome truth.
Even when.
Deserving Power
A counterintuitive idea when first working with it, deserving power is about opening. Receiving. Claiming your sacred path. Learning to own the expanse of your wholeness without converting the darker bits into shame, pity, or performance. Being authenticity, integrity, and owned expression.
Deserving power is honoring the compliment with grace. Earning the money because it is the rightful bilateral agreement for your gifts, efforts, and talents. Being able to accept gifts. Being in awe of synchronicities as the stellar, and hard to explain, signals they are.
Deserving power is learning to believe in your worth. Your value. Your greatest imaginings. Opening your field to all that is possible when you orient to it.
Many of the astronauts – and the plentiful women and men knitting a support structure around them – understood at very young ages where their missions, purposes, and ambitions lived. Deserving power, in a stunningly collective demonstration, led them all to the Moon in April 2026.
Interconnectivity
The barista asked me how I was doing. I sighed and evidently signaled enough eye language for him to say, "I get it. We are all interconnected. It's hard not to feel it." Then he pivoted to whether I had seen any good art recently – as an elixir. I laughed. He's definitely one of my people.
It got me musing about interconnectivity versus entanglement.
The interconnected web of life is a reality. A feature, not a fault. Systems theory at its basis. Entanglement, on the other hand, is a control mechanism – false connectivity via disingenuous boundary bleeds.
Entanglements can look like –
- Decisions that implicate others without having invited them into the decisioning.
- Assumption that an agreement exists when no words have been spoken to arrive at one.
- Unclear expectation setting that results in blame, fighting, and projection – not because anyone was a bad actor, but because clarity was absent.
- Manipulating rather than confronting.
Interconnectivity is a humble power play, able to be leveraged for seismic change and meaningful results, because it is understood as a force and intended as a design feature. Entanglement is poverty consciousness. A misuse of position. An abuse of power. Fear masquerading as heroism or thrustiness. A lie disguised as logic.
Silence is a toxin. It breeds entanglement. And convinces you of separateness rather than the interconnectivity of us all. Interconnectivity is a practice. Entanglement is subjugation.
Evolutionary Change
Since we know evolution is inexorable, we want to learn to work with the winds of change with compassion. Compassion for ourselves first.
Why?
Because the entrenched design of patriarchy flows into misogyny and lands in judgment and shame. Compassion is not its native language.
Change is not fault. Evolving is not a mistake.
While learning to work with the winds of change, we build muscle in compassion – hard won from the bruising. Concurrently lessening the presence of shame, judgment, and guilt. For ourselves and all the other beings.
We stand in a monumentally transitional moment of change.
Notice the judgment. Confront the shame. Meet the guilt. Reach for the compassion.
What's Old is New Again
It feels like 2006-2007. Could also be late 90s.
There is a theory that pandemics occur across history concurrent to massive technological changes. The industrial revolution as a technology has been ending for a long time. The AI revolution has been starting for a long time. We know both.
The industrial revolution transformed worlds, platforms, and product into standardisation, mass production, and globalisation. Order. Rationality. Linearity. Clock time. Humans as cogs. Dependence. Borders. Control. Centralisation. You know all this.
Did it advance societies? Was it disruptive? Is it over? Of course.
Next up is human-centricity. Human-machine collaboration. Spatial time. Localisation. Networks. Interdependence. Authenticity. Story. Agency. Decentralisation. Collectives.
Will it advance societies? Will it be disruptive? Quickly and unimaginably.
In 2006, it would have been difficult to imagine 2020. In 2026, it is difficult to imagine 2028.
The arc is different this go round.
Thresholders
Are thresholders needed to move eras, systems, and humans out of one phase of being and into the next?
History confirms yes.
Change is not a big bang. Evolution happens fractally.
Evolving systems can be aided by catalytic moments. You participate by directing your energy. Intending productively.
Anti-evolutionary thought systems are everywhere. Maintaining control versus advancing freedom is an arms race. Geopolitically, technologically, at work, in our cities.
Take notice.
You change the insidious nature of the top-down paradigm by saying no. You shift paradigms by being in your courage, not your fear.
In the smallest of interactions. In the riskiest of relationships – your kids, your mother, your partner, your colleague, your client. As an active participant in choosing.
It is in the spaces locally that we create dynamic shifts and become thresholders for progressive change.
"The Consultants Are Back"
Did we ever go anywhere?
WSJ wrote a piece recently about all the hootin' and hollering over the last two years that AI was going to wipe out the consultants. I'd have to count how many I've witnessed. Here is what is consistent.
- The same firms still reaping the rewards
- The same intervention models masquerading as change
- Workflow redesign as the urgent call to action
- Use case identification to ensure everyone has language confusion
- Pricing games to make clients feel like they are getting a deal
- Promises to get the technology working so "the humans will follow"
I have worked alongside, come in after the fact to clean up, and been inside two handfuls of the obvious large consulting characters.
Here is what is also consistent –
Humans don't follow technology. They partner with it systemically. Manage it. Leverage it. Strategise how to operate using it. They build adoption incentives and roadmaps to optimise any new technology in service of outcomes, workflows, cultures, ventures, and income. Brand doesn't operate separate from human systems any more than technology does, and any more than culture does. Humans are thresholders in organisations.
They bridge advancements. They effect change. They are the sentience.
What humans certainly do not do is change behavior or follow what the consultants put into place by decree, threat, and coercion. Normal humans respond to consideration, purpose, and logic. They are naturally wired for self-directing achievement and results delivery. Not because the surrounding system is punitive and toxic, but because it is aspirational, smart, knitted, and strategic.
Watch the narratives out there. They are as devolutionary as they are evolutionary. As arcane as they are inviting. As de-inspiring as they are inspiring.
None of this is a consulting question and often not a technology question. It is a systems change question – or better yet a systems return question. What does the human system need to reset to carry this next timeline? What architecture is needed underneath the tool that determines whether the tool, the company, the venture, and the system holds?
The question – once again, for the sake of my sanity – is not how do you get people to use the tool. Nor is it a bloviated scare tactic about "finding throats to choke." (Their words, not mine.) It is system strategy.
Strategy, not scare tactics. Leadership, not low-hanging fruit. Systems designed, not inmates controlled. Tangible change, not frameworks or decks.
Moon missions, my friends. Moon missions supported by prolifically innovative systems that gather smart as hell people who have the emotional solvency to do phenomenal things – as a knitted collective.
No, we never left.

Through the Looking Glass
May feels like the real start of the year. These first four months have been about clearing, listening, and reimagining.
The geopolitical theatre. The AI acceleration. The big 5 consultants wearing new clothes yet pushing the same model. The barista who gets it. The astronauts who brought us to far-out places.
Something seismic has shifted. The people who sense it are already on the move. The ones building from the organic rather than performing from the fear architecture – they are worth noting. Worth being. Worth following.
Choosing to be inside the true work has never been more immediate.
To the moon. x
