Theeo Thoughts № 024 | Old Ways of Being

The collapse is empowerment. The dissolution is freedom. Inorganic, fear-built ways are broadcasting in plain sight. The work is inward. Innie. Not outie.

Watch it objectively, without becoming embroiled, and what you see is plain.

The collapse is empowerment.

The dissolution is freedom.

On the material plane. In the body. In the body politic.

Not having to play into the absurdity any longer is refreshing. Naming the obviousness of it all, stripped of any illusion.

A hopefulness about a world where being real, rather than staged, is inviting.

Humpty Dumpty

We are in another new moment, so let us review.

Outdated patriarchal conditionings, structures, and beliefs are crumbling. Inorganic, fear-built masculine and feminine ways are no longer hiding in plain sight. Instead, they are broadcasting in plain sight. On the daily.

Why?

The old templates cannot work in new consciousness. The clothes do not fit.

What happens?

The shenanigans look different. The stupidity is not buried. The posing and posturing are called out. The inauthenticity cannot be stomached. The abuses have to be owned. The conniving is made apparent. The pope apologises for slavery...

Seriously. What?

Innie & Outie

As we enter yet another new moment, do not just look outward. Do not just react. Do not just scroll.

You are also seeing, feeling, and experiencing another round of the unsettled within. What is coming up to be reckoned with? What keeps nagging? Where might you be seeing yourself repeat the same old bullshit in the circularity of it all?

The wounded shizzle needs to come up. But most importantly, it needs to go.

Let it.

When the clothes no longer fit. Go shopping.

Old Ways of Being

Here is one type of structural punch card.

Old ways of being that you can feel do not any longer play. You can feel when you are denying the invisible cue that says "take a knee." Give it some space. Let it play out.

Trust that feeling.

Control.
Where does it dominate you rather than you tapping into flow? Do you actually have to do that thing?

Forcing.
Why not allow it to unfold instead? How about wait and see?

Over-Engineering.
All that talk about emergence is performative, unless you practice it. Build a light structure with room for the molecules to create some formations. Facilitation and improvisation rather than thrustiness and management.

Performing.
How about listening in? What if you are enough without the performance? Maybe the absence of performance and the presence of listening creates the clear lane for insight to continuously come through?

Shutting down.
What if you confronted rather than fled? What if you said what is true for you while also holding the other? Ambidexterity is a hard one. Confrontative. I understand. But damn, graceful when adventured into.

Outrunning mentally.
How's about feeling that feeling instead of going all analytical? What if remaining steely gradually decommissioning your heart, like in your actual body, is not a choice?

Gripping.
What about trying to open up? Breathing into receiving? Experiencing deserving?

These are archetypal masculine wounds.
They are held within every single one of us.

And they are screaming to come up for healing. Take a look around. Evolutionary change is for healing and growing. Expanding. Elevating.

Systems. Collectives. Individuals.

Get curious. Without pathologising.

Awakening

The stirring to go inward is a cue. To quiet. A restlessness and want for change. Desiring depth. Pulling in new rituals so you host the unfoldment.

New ways need new rails.

Energies are very favorable for transformation right now. And you want to discernedly see the difference between a true call toward new awakening and mistaking that true call for your ego convincing you of being special, invincible, or magical unto yourself.

The pull inward is one clue. A calling so strong you cannot possibly stop following it is another. One leads you through a process of flow, emergence, receiving, unfolding, and onto a trail of magic beans. The other will have you wrestling, controlling, performing, gripping, trying to outrun, and over-engineering the trail yourself.

And then, splat.

She plays for keeps and tests. And tests. And tests.

Take a listen. Notice.

Follow the magic beans.

No splat.

Fields

Stabilising the field to anchor in and move individually or collectively through any type of transformation is the very real part of the process. More and more, I come to new understandings about why change commands so much attention for people and systems. Most skip the field and stabilising bit.

The field has to change when we change. No choice. Physics. Meanwhile, the field is always changing anyway.

While change sounds cool, when the field changes there is no going back.

So there you are, cognitively exercising the idea. Emotionally preparing. Behaviorally testing in. Beginning to understand the vastness. The effort. The losses. The complexity. Excitement is present. And then the ego re-assumes control. Out of fear.

Fear of the invisible. The field is the invisible.

It is the phenomenon.

Systems are fields. Invisible fields. With forces. Constant movement. Whole storylines.

And resistance.

Once comfort is built to work with the invisible. Once skill is established in anchoring. Once fear is acknowledged. Magic beans.

Opposites

Amidst the energetic shifts, the field presents tensions.

On the one hand, the desire for answers, direction, philosophical certainty, a coherent worldview. On the other, the demand to surrender, for compassion, to lean into the mystery. To accept invisibility.

On the one hand, seeking clarity. Finding meaning. On the other hand, meaning continuously being rendered replaceable. For continuous reimagination.

Ways of believing, understanding, forming, structuring, and knowing keep changing. Becoming outdated.

Rigidity out.

Certainty? Laughable.

Soul

The soul wants to grow. Like an origin story, systems have souls and desire too. Cue the field.

Transformation demands surrender to the fear for ignition. Old ways are present irregardless of person or system age. That ignition is the willingness to be okay amidst the invisibility. Learning how it is the only way to sharpen skill in the anchoring.

Truth, vision, and destiny converge from the field. Out of the invisibility.

Where new beliefs come.

Values change.

How philosophies on life mature.

When new directions appear.

And passions get rewritten.

Systemically. Collectively. Individually.

Through the Looking Glass

What is leadership?

You.

Make the answer be you. You is leadership.

If you look outwardly, one guy is animating rifles and rhinos. Another is apologising for heinous system-sponsored crimes against humanity dating back millennia. Others are promising technological utopia. And still more are beating, berating, and abusing.

Old ways. These are.
Old ways leaving an energetic field that can no longer hold their lower nature.

The only way to shed the old is to embody the new.

Something must be working.

Keep going.

Make it living in your own spheres. See progress in real time. In real system frames. Because of real anchoring.

For real change.

Innie. Not outie. x

Strategy & Systems Change | Theeo

About Kathryn & Theeo, the Practice

The most consequential strategic question of this era is not which tools to adopt. It is what those tools run through. AI is arriving into every system as a structural member, inside communication, decisioning, strategy, and the daily texture of how humans and intelligence move together. What a system runs on determines what AI builds from it.

That operating condition is fear. Not cowering in a corner fear. An architecture built before you arrived, running whether you know it or not. This is the substrate phenomenon. It was always the most important question. This era makes it urgent. Kathryn Maloney has worked this terrain for thirty years inside complex, global organisations, from the intersection of applied behavioral science, systems change, and strategic leadership. Theeo Thoughts is where the phenomenon moves in real time.
